Not only am I struggling with the problems on my PC but my inspiration has gone walkabout too.
I know a little girl who loves all things 'princessy' and bought these two digi stamps, Cherry Kisses Princess and Castle from Pollycraft specially for her card.
Now I don't like the result, arghhh. I don't know what effect I had hoped to achieve but this is not it.
Never mind I think the little birthday girl will like it, after all there is a princess and some bling, lol.
I cut off the trees and moved them to the RHS and fixed them to a couple of cocktail sticks because they were a bit too fiddly to cut around.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you are enjoying the bank holiday weekend and that it is warmer where you are.
It is freezing here and I will either have to go and put some sox on or light the gas fire. I have even thought of putting the heating on.
I know September is only a couple of days away, but it feels more like October :-(

PC Disaster
I am very unhappy.
My PC had a funny turn last Friday and it has had to go to computer hospital so I have been a little lost soul for a few days. I was so lost that I went to bed at 9.30 last night
Well!!! I have my baby back BUT I have lost my email address book including home addresses so if you read this and I am in your address book PLEASE will you send me an email so I can restore you to mine.
A lovely bloogy friend has a birthday soon and I'll need a snail mail addy.
I have got to re-install my printers, graphics prog and god knows what else.
I have also got to find all my fave blogs and challenge blogs again.
I missed a challenge or two I was keen to enter too.
Ahhh, woe is me!
OK, enough of my selfindulgent moaning. It is not life threatening so I shall soldier on and try and get it sorted.
Hope to see you again soon when I'm in a better mood.

Get Well
A request from my daughter for her friend. She went into hospital on Tuesday, had a full hysterectomy on Wednesday and was back home by 9pm that evening.
Personally I think it was much too soon but then again she is probably better off at home. You never know what infections she might pick up in there!
I have based this on Carol's Sketch. For some unknown reason I couldn't get a pic of it.
The challenge at Charisma Cardz is Lemon, Green and pink.
A lovely combination :-)
The theme at The Pink Elephant is Summer and this is quite summery. Well, Frillie Millie has a flower in her hand, so I hope it qualifies :-)
Isn't this Frilly Milly from Pink Petticoat lovely.
I used some of the free paper the September issue of the Making Cards mag that arrived this morning.
I won't be late going up the wooden hill tonight. I rarely get to bed the same day I get up, but I've got the pleasure of entertaining grandson tomorrow and a mobile hairdresser is coming to give me a haircut. She does my friend across the road and this is my first appointment with her. Whatever she does to me will be an improvement as I've been DIYing for nearly a year, lol.
Thanks for stopping by :-)

The last 65th card
A5
I've made this for the same lady as yesterday's card. Her daughter has invited us to her party is on Friday, isn't that nice of her.
The birthday girl will be in for a few surprises. The biggest one is that her sister is coming over from Australia.
I don't think this qualifies for any challenges, although it is very close to Sketch Saturday :-(
This beautiful image is from one of the few CD's I own, Vintage Photo's, from Debbi Moore Designs.
I love using the MS border punches so much I used it twice, hee hee!
The oval was cut by hand using fancy scissors cos I printed the image too big to fit the largest oval Nestie scallop. I have sparkled the handcut label under the sentiment with my fave Glamour Dust.
The image and the sentiment are fixed with foam tape. I added a quite superfluous skeleton leaf, just because I've got lots and very rarely use them.
The flowers are cherry blossoms from Wild Orchid Crafts - must go shopping there again soon for some more. I wish I could have some in every colour.
Thank you for visiting, please do call again :-)

One More 65th Card
8inch square
This is for the same lady as yesterday's card. It was commissioned by her daughter back in January along with a 90th card for her mother in law. I made this one way back in February/March and she collected it today for mum's birthday on Friday.
The Cute Daisy May challenge is to have a word or sentiment as the focal point
I used some pretty lace and threaded it with some velvet ribbon. The flowers are Flora Doodles. I am getting low on these and don't know where to get some more from. I originally bought them from Joanna Sheen but it seems they have been discontinued on the website.
The little bows were made out of some netting that was over some fruit! I wish I could remember what it was cos I'd get some more just for the wrapping.
I can't believe that I forgot to take a pic of the wrap, although it really doesn't matter, it was similar to the one I made for yesterday's card.
Thank you for stopping by and hope to see you again soon :-)

65th Birthday
8inch Square
Just in case you think I am out of my mind, I have to explain that the number 55 on a 65th birthday card is a standing joke between the lady who asked for this card and her birthday friend ;-))
I made something slightly different to the design we talked about, but I was relieved that she was very pleased with it. I'm just hoping her friend will be too.
I have based this on MMSC14 sketch which is what I had in mind from the beginning. How fortunate is that, eh!
The challenge at Daring Cardmakers is Lace and I have used some very pretty lace here.
The Cute Daisy May challenge is to have a word or sentiment as the focal point
I decorated the inside too but forgot to take a pic.
The wrap is silver mirri card and as you know, quite difficult to photograph.
Thank you for stopping by

Son in Law
A5
It is Son in Law's birthday on Sunday and I'll have 5 cards to make for him so I've used this sketch from Charisma Cardz challenge 31 as the basis for the card from us.
This sketch is something quite different and was keen to use it.
Thanks for stopping by.

A Lilac Birthday!
A5
I made this with three challenges in mind :-) and I may give it to my DIL for her birthday later in the month., but I guess I'll most likely make her another one before then.
Challenges
Cute Daisy May - Fantasy Floral
Bee Crafty - Adding Colour to Images
A Spoonful of Sugar - The sketch
I have used Daisy May images a few times before but this is the first time I have made a card that qualifies for a Daisy May Challenge.
This is such a gorgeous image, I fell in love with her right away. She is from sheet 50, but I see she is also on sheet 63 and now wish I'd bought that one instead.
I have not mastered colouring 'blonde hair' yet :-( so once again is a light brown coiffed young lady.
The circle is a small doily, lightly sponged with a Wisteria ColorBox chalk inkpad.
I made a few different flowers and ended up only using one of them in this little arrangement.
I used up some papers that I had left over from previous cards (trying to be thrifty!) and I couldn't help using the lovely MS border punch I got from Joanna Sheen recently. I just HAD to buy one as I keep trying to win one when they have generously been offered as blog candy and failed miserably, along with a few thousand others, lol.
Image - Cute Daisy May
Floral Paper - NRJ's La Belle Provence from Scrap Artist
Thank you for stopping by and hope you'll pop in again soon :-)

18th Card
My daughter asked for a card for her friends son's 18th birthday next weekend. The family moved to Spain six or seven years ago so I hope she gets it in the post tomorrow cos I don't know how long the mail takes to get there.
I used the sketch from Truly Scrumptious Challenge 13 as I am in need of a bit and a half of inspiration.
I changed the circle for a star and really had to get my thinking cap on choosing the BP's. The image and circles are fixed with foam tape/pads.
You may recognise the image as Charlie from Whiff of Joy. I am sad to say I do not own this stamp :-(
I borrowed it from a crafty friend and stamped myself a few. Cheers m' dear, if you look in and see this handsome chap. I've coloured him with copics - not a very good effort unfortunately, but, hey! you get to see it warts n all, lol.
Whoops, sorry Charlie, I didn't mean that you have warts, rofl!!
Thanks for visiting and have a good day :-)

For a Friend
150mm square
I haven't kept in touch with many colleagues from my former life in the world of work but I do like to share a little goss with Pat now and then. I always see her on her birthday which will be in 2wks time so am looking forward to that.
I had a look at some of my fave challenges and made this to fit five of them.
Spoonful of Sugar - Floral Fantasy
Simon Says Stamp - Buttons and Ribbons
Pollycraft Monday Challenge - Buttons and Bows
Penny's Challenges - Buttons - a new challenge blog, not just cards!
Friday Sketchers - lovely sketch
Making this card involved a lot of measuring and I cut the curved bits using 2 bowls
I tried the 'out of frame' technique with the image, but it turned out to be 'not very much out of frame'!! Never mind, it is lovely idea and will have another go sometime.
Thank you for visiting, your comments are very much appreciated.
Enjoy the weekend everyone, it looks as though it is summer today :-)

I made it to fit five challenges -
Rainbow Lady's Challenge - Four Corners

Our Creative Corner - Purple - the check paper looks blue but is actually purple!

2 Sketches 4 You - The sketch
I'm entertaining 6yr old g/son today so I hope to grab a few minutes now to decorate and finish the inside while he is having his lunch and watching Indiana Jones.

Carols Sketch Fun, Dare you 2 Digi Stamp and PIO
I have used this smashing sketch from Carol's Sketch Fun challenge 11
and the challenge at Dare you 2 Digi Stamp this week is Distressing, and I love distressing!!
The challenge at Pile it on it is to use at least 3 flowers and to combine with more than one challenge
The dark flourish is actually Gold mirri card, darn hard to photo!!
The little flowers are from a mixed pack of Flora Doodles that have been languishing amongst my stash for at least a year. The BP's are also from my stash printed off some time ago.
I have used the MS punch again. This might be a bit predictable on my cards for a while yet lol.
I love this Cute Daisy May image but the challenge over there this week is Ch*****as.
Yes I know I should be thinking about those cards already but I just can't bring myself to do it. The main reason being that we haven't had a summer holiday yet.
OK, poor excuse, lol.
Thank you for visiting. Please feel free to leave a comment, and my thanks if you do :-)

Bizzy Becs Challenge
A brand new challenge blog, Creatalicious Challenge Blog will be starting on August 15. This will be a monthly challenge so everyone will have plenty of time to join in.
To celebrate this new venture there is some delish candy up for grabs and
Becs is looking for two people to join the DT for 6 months.
There is a lovely sketch to follow and instructions on the site.
Well, I am taking the plunge and putting this forward. There are an awful lot of excellent entries already and don't expect a result, but hey, nothing lost :-)
I must admit a certain envy (a nice envy of course, lol) of all the talented people who share their gorgeous creations with us.
Shame it is not a very good pic. My 'photography skills' are getting worse daily or to be more precise 'nightly'. I shall have to take the pics in daylight in future.
I used my brand new beautiful MS punch recently acquired from Joanna Sheen. Such a joy not having to rely on my corner punch or Mum's pinking shears to fancy-up edges.
Thank you for calling in and any comments you care to leave will be truly appreciated.
