60th Birthday Card
8inch square
I've made this for a friend's 60th birthday on Friday and I am quite pleased how it turned out.

The papers are Spring Romantic from Daisie and Loreta Labarca Nearly White and inked all edges with Wisteria ColorBox fluid chalk inkpad. The no: 60 and my favourite die of the moment, the flourish, were cut on my CB. I cut the leaves from a piece of green paper and 'painted' them with G99 copic. Finished with a large eggplant coloured FD (how generous!) from Joanna Sheen, pearls, lace, bling and a pinky lilac organza ribbon.
The box

A wrap made from silver mirri type card following Suzanne's tutorial Thanks Suzanne!!
Computer generated greeting, inked edges in the Wisteria. Another flourish, this time in the same silver 'mirri', AND another, though smaller FD. Think I need to lie down!! A couple of leaves and tied with the same ribbon as on the card.
I have added a little 'shelf' at the bottom of the back of the wrap so the card won't fall through. I felt quite chuffed with myself for thinking of this, lol.
Tis a shame I couldn't get a better pic of this, but you know how difficult it is to take a photo of mirri card.
Thank you for looking in today. Your comments are greatly appreciated

The other 40th
I finished this this morning. I have made three cards for Louise's 40th and of course they all have to be different. I made the first one back in Sept. I'd forgotten when her birthday was and got ahead of myself.
It was the 40 number shape so I am satisfied that I have achieved my goal.
Daughter requested I personalise yesterdays card and will add a hand cut leaf with the birthday girl's name by the FD's near the tassle. Well that is the intention :-/

I used Joanna Sheen's lace paper for the background and the image is one I found googling. Image and sentiment layered on purple patterned paper and silver mirri. Hand cut nunmber, more FD's, pearls and finished with organza ribbon

One more 40th card
Yes another one!
8inch square
Inspired by Suzanne's big cards. I now have to make a wrapper for it.
This is for my daughter to give to her friend. I will have to work on one from me later.
I have been deliberating on this card for days. I liked the image but wanted the card to have a modernish? look. Hubby has just said that he doesn't like the pink at the bottom :-( The aqua colour matches Louise's decor so I hope she likes it.

I think I've been quite generous in using FD's and a tassle.
Thanks for looking

Erte in black and white
Side opening A5
I've made this for my sister in law's 60th birthday and is the first card I done entirely black and white.
Erte image with one layer decoupaged (oh, how fiddly were those thin doggy legs) Matted onto black mirri card with number handcut from same card. Finished with ribbons, flowers and 'bling'.

I didn't realise til I was half way through making it just how appropriate it is.
Brother in law died nearly 6 years ago and she doesn't want a party so we are having a 'girls only' evening at Peterborough dog racing. Transport is a limo and the evening includes a meal, the first bet and a drink.
It should be fun - the girls are going to the dogs!!!
Thank you for popping by

Western 40th
Just for a change a different style of 40th.
I found this one hard work!
The birthday girl is having western theme party and loves diamonds
(don't we all given the chance, hahaha)
so, though goodness knows why, I suggested a 'blingy' cowboy boot.
I spent ages just deciding what papers to use, but once I got started it wasn't so bad. I still wanted it to look feminine, hence the FD & prima but for once there is no ribbon. Felt strange not putting ribbon on.

BG paper from (poss)Sweet Shoppe, 'For the Girls' collection by Amy Wolff.
Boot cut from a Google image pic and stamped with a little swirly flower.
Heel and sole, spur, badge and all the 'goldy' bits cut from sparkly gold card.
The badge and spur are detail gold embossed. Happy birthday cuttlebug folder embossed on off white pearly paper.

The boot is slightly shaped and attached with silicone to give some dimension.
