For my Daughter #1

******************
8" square

This is a very rushed make.
My lovely Son in Law asked GD to ask me to to make a card for her Mum's birthday, which was yesterday. She forgot and told me the  night before!

Papers - Pressed in time - Raspberry Road
Net and crinoline flower with and old clip on earring in the centre
Lace
Seam binding ribbon
Flat back pearls and pearl heart

The gem in the centre  looks blue in the pic but is clear IRL

The ribbon treatment top left is to disguise the fact that I stuck the panels on skewy :(

I used the same paper as the main on the front for the inside panels

Incy Wincy #134 - birthday
Creatalicious #31 - lace

Bold & Bright at Crafty Ann's

**************************

Bold and Bright
is this fortnight's challenge at Crafty Ann's

I have had major printer problems so the main part of this card was assembled digitally.  The BP, diamond shaped borders, flourishes and greeting were printed as one piece.
I made three layers for the flower and added three gold rimmed pearl buttons.
Simple really but it looks so nice IRL.

The main BP is from the funky collection -
Pre-coloured flower
Gold embossed effect diamond shaped border from Sweet Sage
White pearl in gold ring also from Sweet Sage...
....all available from Crafty Ann's Digi Shop
Flourishes - unknown

Be bold......be bright....and and come play with us.  As always there are some excellent samples for inspiration by the DT over at CACB - well worth popping over to see .

I'd also like to enter the following challenges
Allsorts #141 - free and easy February
Crafter's Companion #21 - anything goes
OSAAT#100 - anything goes
Penny's PCC #73 - anything goes

* Edit :See comments below
I jumped the gun regarding this news and obviously didn't read it properly.......can I blame this on old age....please..... hahaha.

Blogging friends have pointed out  that this is for non Blogger sites.... so if you use Word Press or Typepad you will need to link to the new Linky otherwise all will stay the same....thank goodness :)

If you are a non Blogger and you would like to sign up, use the new linky on the top left of my blog

Also add it on your own blogs so I can follow you too :)

Thank you  to everyone who is bringing our attention to the fact that  the Google followers gadget will be disappearing soon, which means all our followers will disappear too!

I'm sure we'll all get this sorted, though I guess it may take some time.
Could you all spread the word on your blogs and  hopefully we won't lose too many of our friends along the way!

Thank you   :)

Wedding Anniversary

*******************

I was told that the lady of the couple this is for likes all things  'pink and girly'.
I hope this fits the bill.

I  coloured the Nellie die with DI and then glittered it before adding the distressed sentiment - the whole panel is adhered with foam tape. There is a smidgen of glitter on the edges of the flower petals too.

Papers from the Papermania Rose Garden pad
MS deep border punch
Ribbon from a recent challenge win :)
Flower from WOC
Handmade stick pin
Heart pin from challenge win :)

New Baby

*********
A friend of DD's has just become daddy to a gorgeous baby boy.
The photo of baby Lucas was lifted off  facebook, emailed to me then printed on my dodgy printer so it is not surprising it is such poor quality but it does look better IRL.

The main BP is from Bearly Mine, the stripe unknown, the scalloped piece is bleached linens from Scrap Artist.

The photo is matted on to a hand cut scallopy circle of the bearly mine paper and popped on to the doily with foam pads.
Seam binding ribbon bow, a small piece of muslin and flowers from WOC and that's it.

Sketchy Colors #103 - purple and turquoise
Allsorts #140 - free and easy
Cupcake Craftroom Feb - new beginnings

Love is in the Air at Crafty Ann's

*****************************

Time for another challenge

could be just the challenge you need  for Valentines day

Love is in the Air

I have used the pearl square, bookplate and one of the backing papers from the Cream Dream collection. This is another beautiful new collection Ann has recently added to her digi shop
The image was digitally placed over polished stone and then matted on to the main BP.

The pretty ornate bookplate is an embellishment on it's own and I don't think this need further embellishing,  just  a little distressing around the edges and a couple of swirls in the corners.

I hope you will be able to join in this fortnights challenge and show us your lovey dovey creations.  Please pop over to Crafty Ann's and have a look at  the  fabulous inspiration from the DT

I'd also like to enter the following challenges
Anything Goes #59 - to the one I love

The Crafty Pad  #155 - show some valentine/anniversary love
