CACB #73 - Colour Challenge

**********************

For this challenge you have a choice of either a monochrome card in shades of
Turquoise/Aqua or Lilac/Purple
or you can do a duotone card using both of these colour palettes.
These colours only please, this isn't a general monochrome challenge

I created this is in my graphics programme and am very pleased how it has turned out.
I have done a mix and match from different digital scrapbook kits. This beautiful ornate  frame and the embossed scallop mat are from Tempting Turquoise. The circle, flower and pearls from Imperial Purple  and the gold ribbon and bow (double layered) from the new Eggstravaganza kit and all can be found here.
The  gorgeous rich colour purple BP is from the polished stone collection.

I hope you will be able to join us for this challenge. The DT have some great inspiration for this one.
Do be sure to pop ocver to the CACB blog to check them out.

I also like to enter this into the following challenges

Wedding Anniversary

****************

Another card with my new stash :)

Once again the lovely Floral Ovals die and my one and only M-bossability folder. Told you I'd be using these a lot, lol.

I thought the oval looked a bit bare so added flat backed pearls.
Finished with a WOC flower. I'm so mean I only used one, but then it is a large one :) - a scruffy seam binding ribbon bow and a stick pin with 3 pearls and a bead cap

Challenges
Joanna Sheen - totally sentimental
WOC #57 - summer flowers
Challenges 4 Everybody #1 - anything goes

Friend's 70th Birthday

****************

This is an 8" square card and box for my friend's 70th birthday.

I've had this lovely vintage paper saved on my computer for ages and have forgotten where it came from. The index page just says NBK . I digitally painted out the centre  and added an overlay of music after adjusting the opacity to make it look more shabby and distressed.

I gritted my teeth (cos I really just want to stroke this and not actually use it) and made a large double bow with some gorgeous deep pink silk ribbon from Linda's Funkie Junkie  boutique and also forced myself to part with some of the beautiful venice lace.

I painted the  large WOC rose with Winsor & Newton iridescent medium to give it a bit of shine and sparkle and made a stick pin with three pink pearls and a bead cap

I have used the same BP printed with a greeting for the inside

The box is simply decorated with a seam binding bow and another flower from WOC.
* The box is actually white - the lighting when I took the pic makes it look cream

Challenges
WOC #57 - summer flowers
Charisma #33 - lace
Paperplay #34 - sentiment as the main focus

Thank you for stopping by and the lovely comments received on previous posts each and every one so much appreciated :)

50th and Friends Birthday

*******************
Two the same but different !

This first one is a commission from a friend who loves easel cards. She has card making stuff herself but still asks me to make her special cards.  This is for her DIL.
I have offered many times to show her how easy it is to do easels - one day I will succeed :)

I had to use my new Floral Ovals dies - aren't they lovely.

The butterflies were cut from a leftover piece of BP.  I Versamarked them and used clear embossing powder to give them a porcelain look.
Flowers from WOC.

I don't usually make two cards the same but I so enjoyed making the above that I made a similar one for my friend's birthday.

Seam binding ribbon double bow on this one and another flower from WOC.

New Baby

*******

I haven't done any colouring in for ages and it took me three attempts to colour this stamp. Also I've been soooo busy making cards I haven't had time to blog - AND I've got loads of emails in my inbox that need attention.

I used my NEW - and one and only - M-Bossabilities folder (Imperial ) for the background. This is such a bad pic but the best I could do. It is not much clearer even if you click the pic.
* New photo's - a bit better than the originals lol.

Another new aquisition is the lovely Floral Ovals die. I will be using this and the folder a lot :)
The sentiment circle was made in Publisher as usual.
Both of these are fixed with foam tape/pads

Finished with seam binding ribbon and bow and  flower.

Challenges

80th Birthday

************

This is for my son in law's Dad from him and my daughter.
I am working on two more, one  for the grandchildren and one from us.

Papers are by Summer Driggs
I printed the light patterned paper on card, cut a hole in it and added gold 'string' and adhered with foam tape. The flourish was not planned but I accidentally made a smear of gold pen so had to cover it with something, lol.
The three sentiment circles are made in Publisher and also stuck on with foam tape.

My cutting out of the circle was quite neat but I went around it with a fine peel off to finish it off.

Challenges
Crafty Sentiments - use numbers
Alphabet Challenge - for men only
Bearly Mine  #46 - anything goes
Come and Get It - adult birthday card- chosen as one of the Top 3 :)
Kaboodle #130 - birthday or special day - missed it!
Hooked on Crafts #23 - let's celebrate

Hubby's Birthday

***************

I don't know what you think but I thought it was quite witty - mabe just my warped sense of humour, lol.
He said he wanted to swap the numbers round for this birthday. Well he definitely wouldn't get away with that, but when you look at this in the mirror it reads  27 - that is as near as he is going to get, hahahaha.

It was a very cheap card to make.
The BP is a freebie from my craft mag
The greeting and sentiment printed on to some scrap card and matted onto silver mirri
Numbers made in Word and cut from silver mirri fixed with foam tape

Challenge
* Proud to be one of the Top 3

Thank you for stopping by and the lovely comments left on previous posts

Circles at Crafty Ann's - Challenge #71

*********************************

...and this fortnight's theme is...

Circles
~ there needs to be more than one on your project please ~.

The Olympics may give you some inspiration but I have, perhaps predictably, gone down the vintage route.

The main BP's are embossed dots and mottled stone, edges distressed with frayed burlap DI - the white frame and the bow are from the Tempting Turquoise digital scrapbook kit .  The  gold behind the frame is one of the metallic papers and the pearl - I added the sentiment digitally - is from the Cream Dream kit.  All can be found here in  the digi shop

The fashionable ladies image is from one of the free vintage digital sites, which one I forget.

I covered the join with this lovely lace and finished off with the flower and leaves

We hope you will be able to play along with us for this lovely circles challenge - Olympics or not - whatever you choose.
There is plenty of fabby inspiration by the DT to be found over at CACB  if you care to pop in and have a look-see :) and then add your own circle creations.

I'd also like to enter this into the following challenges
Bearly Mine #46 - anything goes
Fussy & Fancy #68 - vintage + distressing and lace
OLLCB #110 - recipe - 1 image, 2 dp's, 3 embellishments
OSAAT #124 - use a digi
PCJ - anything goes
Twisted Tuesday #17 - free for all

* I'm proud to say this was chosen as one of OLLCB's top three :)

Thank you for stopping by
Cheers me dears
