For an Arsenal fan :-) and boy did I struggle with this.

I cut a star and covered it in fine black glitter - ooooh, what a messy job! - layered it on to a d'vine swirled mat. The number 60 is Sissix Azure alpha die and the BP is from the Papermania Mono pad.
I printed the 'happy birthday' strip and 'dear husband and layered that on to silver mirri. The sentiment is handcut with fancy scissors

 As I had to get something Arsenal in, I printed the logo on to photo paper and used it to hold down the ribbon.

60th birthday

Well!!! This card has been doomed from the start.
I just couldn't make up my mind re BP's... printed off three different lots.
Just as I was finishing hubby asked to look at it and what did I see???
I'd stuck the back on upside down!!!!
I used Carol's Sketch 13 and now find the current sketch is 14. Another challenge missed, darn it.
I would have preferred to do the current sketch which makes me even crosser than I am right at this minute.
Remind me to check properly next time.
Aaarrrgggh.
Sorry!! You can come out from behind the sofa, I promise not to shout any more.

I'm not even happy with it but I hope the lady I've made it for likes it enough to pay me for it,LOL

On a happier note, it DOES fit Charisma Cardz Challenge 37 which is Flower Power.

Also over at La-La Land Crafts Blog we are invited to Embellish it!! . Nice one :-) as my favourite thing is to embellish. Here is flowers, Glamour Dusted shapes, gems and a bow made with some 'netty' stuff.

Colour Create - 16 - and Dutch Dare - 60th card

What absolutely delicious colours they are for this week 16 of Colour Create challenge. Thank you Kim :-)

Over at the Dutch Dare the challenge is Glitter and Bling, yippee!




I was asked for another 60th birthday card and couldn't resist this colour combination.



Optional extras this week are to add gloss, glitter or glaze.
Surprise, surprise I chose glitter.

I love this image but can't remember where she came from.The BP's are from Gina Miller Sweet Pea collection.
Stitching, distressing and hand made flowers complete this, along with a die-cut swirl (glittered), punched leaves, organza bow and a large diamonte? brad.




The no:60 on the blue flower is under a Papermania dome sticker. I found these at the bottom of my 'bittybob' drawer. They have been hiding there for ages and have started to curl up.
The flowers have been Cuttlebugged, some with Devine Swirls, the others with Swiss Dots embossing folders. Everything is edged with ColorBox chalk inkpad - Azurite.

60th card and Sketch & Stash challenge 10

This is the third and last 60th card, for now at least.
It is from me for my friend and neighbour across the road who celebrates her big day tomorrow.



I have used this weeks sketch from Sketch and Stash. I like this one a lot. It was fairly easy to make it fit A5 landscape.



The delectable Madison is wearing a different dress in this one.
Well! a girl can't be seen in the same dress twice in one week, can she? LOL

The BP's are from one of my favourite collections from DAISIE, Spring Romantic designed by Doreen Stolz.
A few flowers, pink gems, organza and satin bow, a very discreet No:'60' peeloff from my neglected peeloff stash and some pearly stamens that were gathering dust.
The bow on the flower is made from a piece from a roll of fine net I was given last year. Would look better on darker coloured flowers.




The inside is fairly plain.

I have turned the sketch around so I hope it will qualify.
I couldn't resist the lovely Madison again coloured with blue/green copics.



A little glittering on the flourish and tag to add abit of sparkle



For a change I have taken a pic of the inside tho it is not very exciting

60th Birthday Card

Daughter in Law asked for a card for her boss who will be 60 on Friday.



I did find it a bit of a job to keep it masculine. I find it much easier to make a girly card because I love to use lace and flowers and bling. Well!! all that was out so this has ended up quite plain.
The words are embossed with gold detail EP and the name CB'd and no.60 mounted on to one of the smaller 'label' nesties. I made the photo corners to match the label. The brown BP has also been run through the CB with the Swiss Dots folder. The ribbon is one from a mixture by Craft Essentials. Finished with a few punched leaves and a brad.
I have made a wrap from silver card with a printed greeting and tied with turquoise coloured ribbon.

60th Birthday Card

I've made this for a friend's 60th birthday on Friday and I am quite pleased how it turned out.



The papers are Spring Romantic from Daisie and Loreta Labarca Nearly White and inked all edges with Wisteria ColorBox fluid chalk inkpad. The no: 60 and my favourite die of the moment, the flourish, were cut on my CB. I cut the leaves from a piece of green paper and 'painted' them with G99 copic. Finished with a large eggplant coloured FD (how generous!) from Joanna Sheen, pearls, lace, bling and a pinky lilac organza ribbon.

A wrap made from silver mirri type card following Suzanne's tutorial Thanks Suzanne!!
Computer generated greeting, inked edges in the Wisteria. Another flourish, this time in the same silver 'mirri', AND another, though smaller FD. Think I need to lie down!! A couple of leaves and tied with the same ribbon as on the card.
I have added a little 'shelf' at the bottom of the back of the wrap so the card won't fall through. I felt quite chuffed with myself for thinking of this, lol.
Tis a shame I couldn't get a better pic of this, but you know how difficult it is to take a photo of mirri card.
