*********
Sadly one of many I have to make this week.
Our 36yr old nephew died on Saturday and our friend's son who is also our DD's close friend's husband died on Monday. Two young men in two days :-(
When I have to make one of these sad cards I often use this digi from Pink Petticoat - I love it's simplicity.
The bakers twine is from my gorgeous winnings from the Pretty Little Ribbon Shop, for winning a Charisma Cardz Challenge back in Sept. Not only beautiful ribbons but some buttons and heart pins too - just yummy - thank you so much.
Getting out the stash and making cards can be so therapeutic when you're feeling sad.
Challenges
Charisma Cardz #43 - anything goes
Paper Crafting Journey #22 - use a digi
Thank you for stopping by
Cheers me dears

Pink Petticoat Pillowbox
Skin of my teeth with this.
I had forgotten the Pink Petticoat challenge to make a pillowbox with the chance to win some, no make that LOTS of gorgeous American Crafts ribbon.
I have rustled this up quickly just now with the hope I meet the deadline.
I have deliberately made this in purple/lilac colours so I could enter the first
Sketchy Colors challenge too

The papers are PP Pretty Doodles.
Thanks for stopping by and again for the lovely comments.
I do appreciate and need all the encouragement, lol
See you again soon, I hope :-)

Peachy Frillie Millie
A5
This is only the second card I have made with the lovely Frillie Millie digi stamp from Pink Petticoat so when I saw this sketch on the Mojo Monday Week 108 challenge I knew I'd got the perfect excuse to use her :-)
The theme at One Stop Craft Challenge is Birthday cards so I guess this fits.
The Ooh-la-la Challenge is 3 different shapes.

I don't often use this colour so I had to hunt around my digi papers to find something to match Frillie Millie's outfit.

Close up........

Papers - Audrey Jeannes's Perfectly Peachy,
Amy Teets Sun Porch from Shabby Princess
Image - Frillie Millie from Pink Petticoat
Star - X-cut Impress die sparkled with Glamour Dust
Flowers from stash
Has anyone noticed I've changed my avatar?
Nice pic innit...you can't see my wrinkes....Lol...:-))
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have time to leave a comment so I know you've visited.

Get Well
A request from my daughter for her friend. She went into hospital on Tuesday, had a full hysterectomy on Wednesday and was back home by 9pm that evening.
Personally I think it was much too soon but then again she is probably better off at home. You never know what infections she might pick up in there!
I have based this on Carol's Sketch. For some unknown reason I couldn't get a pic of it.
The challenge at Charisma Cardz is Lemon, Green and pink.
A lovely combination :-)
The theme at The Pink Elephant is Summer and this is quite summery. Well, Frillie Millie has a flower in her hand, so I hope it qualifies :-)

Isn't this Frilly Milly from Pink Petticoat lovely.
I used some of the free paper the September issue of the Making Cards mag that arrived this morning.

I won't be late going up the wooden hill tonight. I rarely get to bed the same day I get up, but I've got the pleasure of entertaining grandson tomorrow and a mobile hairdresser is coming to give me a haircut. She does my friend across the road and this is my first appointment with her. Whatever she does to me will be an improvement as I've been DIYing for nearly a year, lol.
Thanks for stopping by :-)

Pink Petticoat
Liz at Pink Petticoat bought the Slice and doesn't get on with it so is giving it away.
How generous is that!!
This is my entry in an attempt to win it.
One of the cards for the Slice cuts flourishes, I so could have done with that facility today haha.

I used the Too Tweet download and small flowers BP from PP. Took ages to cut out the flourish! but got there in the end. I added some feathers and a pink organza bow.
I'm not holding my breath with this as an entry but I really enjoyed making it

Thanks for looking today and for any comments you care to make
