70th Birthday

Neighbour Mick celebrated his big seven ohhh on Monday. The image is an MG like the one he has in his garage and takes out for a spin a couple of times a year....on a fine day, lol.

The BP is LOTV's Beach Bliss, rather nice for male cards. I made a faux silk panel and sponged with a matching colour ink and dabbed gold on the edges. For the frame I used nestie curved rectangles also dabbed with gold. I couldn't decide (this happens a lot these days) how to finish it off and therefore opted for circles and some hessian.

A closer view - I've added this just to fill the space :)

A New Baby.....

..............and a very special one too.

Our Great Granddaughter was born 3 weeks early on 29 September and this is the card I made from me and GGD to welcome the little lady to the world  :)

This sooo sweet LOTV image is just right isn't it! The delicious lace is from Funkie Junkie Linda's boutique.
and I was lucky enough to find the white organza ribbon languishing in my ribbon drawer along with the ribbon that links the two panels.
The flowery BG paper is from Far Far Hill.

One handmade flower, the rest from WOC, all painted with iridescent medium for a lovely shine and my trusty leaf punch to compliment the leaves on the image - not much like them though are they. lol.

Twins First Birthday

It seems no time at all since I posted a congrats card for my niece and her hubby on the birth of their darling twin girls and here it is already - their first birthday!!

When they are older I will make them a card each but as my mojo is nowhere in sight, I hope that this will be acceptable.

I am losing it.......I've forgotten details of the papers already.....perhaps because I shuffled sooo many paper designs about before I made my choice.

Sweet LOTV image, handcut number, spotty ribbon and VERY old pearly button with bakers twine.

My New Die

I received some new goodies today from Funkie Junkie Linda's boutique.  One of them was the TH tattered floral die.........so of course I had to have a play and I made this for my neighbour's birthday.  

The BP is one of Crafty Ann's Funky collection and the postcard stamp is one of my choices for a win from  LOTV. The mesh is plasterboard tape coloured with gold pentouch.

Two layers of punched butterfly - one from the BP and the lower one from the 'mess' left behind after colouring the mesh which is little gold squares.

I cut the flowers from an old book and coloured them with DI's.
Isn't it a shame I couldn't stamp the sentiment straight :(

First Birthday

It is a relief to be back in business.  I was unable to get into my graphics programme and have had to buy a new version which arrived today, Saturday. I was getting right miffed that it took so long to get here - I ordered on Monday!!!! 

I have, at long last, got some LOTV images - hooray.  I took advantage of the sale and stocked up with die-cut images.

This sweet image is just right for this First Birthday card. The number 1 is handcut out of some free paper and matted on to mirri card. The same with the image.

The BP is a freebie too then I just added a little bit of ribbon and the computer generated sentiment
