70th Birthday

Neighbour Mick celebrated his big seven ohhh on Monday. The image is an MG like the one he has in his garage and takes out for a spin a couple of times a year....on a fine day, lol.

The BP is LOTV's Beach Bliss, rather nice for male cards. I made a faux silk panel and sponged with a matching colour ink and dabbed gold on the edges. For the frame I used nestie curved rectangles also dabbed with gold. I couldn't decide (this happens a lot these days) how to finish it off and therefore opted for circles and some hessian.

A closer view - I've added this just to fill the space :)

Challenges I'd like to enter
PCJ - manly/boyish
Crafty Creations #258- happy birthday
Diva's - let's hear it for the boys
The Paper Shelter #148 - anything goes

Thank you for stopping by today :)
Cheers me dears

Gotta show you this! One of my birthday presents from my DD :)

A fabulous card for your neighbour Irene, I'm sure he'll love it.
Your DD got that gift SO right, how perfect to get something that reflects your normal goodbye saying.

This is a super card Irene, I find male cards so difficult to make, you obviously don't!
Thanks for sharing it with us at Diva's this week and good luck with the challenge
