A quick card for my Aunty using an image and BP from the Victorian Flowers CD.
I added a layer on the main rose and layered the image on to silver mirri card.
Finished with ribbon and a peel-off butterfly on acetate

Pink Petticoat
Liz at Pink Petticoat bought the Slice and doesn't get on with it so is giving it away.
How generous is that!!
This is my entry in an attempt to win it.
One of the cards for the Slice cuts flourishes, I so could have done with that facility today haha.
I used the Too Tweet download and small flowers BP from PP. Took ages to cut out the flourish! but got there in the end. I added some feathers and a pink organza bow.
I'm not holding my breath with this as an entry but I really enjoyed making it
Thanks for looking today and for any comments you care to make

Suzanne's Challenge
This challenge came just at the right time. I had just started to make a card for our friend across the road and it fits the bill, so here it is.
He likes music and will be 64 on Saturday. I am not sure if he likes the Beatles particularly so played safe and used an image of musical instruments. His initial and age are fixed with foam tape to give some height. Really quick and simple after spending an age choosing the image.
Thanks for the challenge Suzanne.

Honoured again!
I have to thank two crafters I hold in the highest regard, Suzanne and Ann for passing this award on to me.
It is a joy to see the work they share with us on their blogs, and Suzanne's workshops are eagerly followed by so many of us.
The award has such a great sentiment behind it and here is what it says:
This blog invests and believes the PROXIMITY - nearness in space, time and relationships! These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind blogger’s aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers! Deliver this award to eight blogger’s who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award.
I have a dilemma as to who to pass this on to. So many of the crafters I admire have already received this, and don't know if it is acceptable to name them again.
For the past couple of days my time has been taken up with family matters, the happiest one today being my youngest grandsons 6th birthday.
I will add the names of who I nominate later. Apologies and I hope no one minds about this.
Thank you ladies, I am honoured to receive this from you.

Elegant Lady
I've made this card for my daughter to send to her friend who lives in Spain.
I have made it as flat as possible in an attempt to keep postage costs down.
Image matted on to silver mirri type card and CB'd scalloped nestie also from same card (you might guess I have a lot of this!)
I attempted to make a buckle but the result was not very good but as I don't like wasting things, I have used it anyway.
BG paper from Verena Karolyi Designs
Thank you for stopping by. All your comments are greatly appreciated.

The last card for Grandson
I am relieved that this is the last for his 6th birthday next week.
It is a challenge to a few different cards for children. Of course they all need to be different don't they!
Another of Grandson's passions is Star Wars.
I blame his Dad for this.
This is to be from Aunty and cousins.
I coloured about an inch around the edge of the base CS with a marker pen and spritzed it with alcohol and this gave a sort of marbly effect. I did this because I didn't know what to use as a BG. The half mask of Darth Vader has an extra layer and it is held at the side with eyelets.
Thank you for looking and all comments are appreciated :-)

75th Birthday Card
Cards for 6th birthday's
A5 Side Opening
Grandson and two of his classmates are having a combined party for their 6th birthdays.
Good idea don't you think, as these affairs cost so much these days. All the same friends will be there so it really makes sense.
He has assured me that I am on his list, so I feel really honoured. Mind you I haven't missed one yet!!
I made Jessica's card for Rainbow Lady's challenge yesterday and this one is for Samuel. G/son says that Samuel likes Power Rangers.
This one I made today for G/son from Mum & Dad. Mum suggested Sponge Bob!
I decoupaged Bob's body, CB embossed mat and letters cut from silver mirri type card.
Thanks for looking and for any comment you care to make :-)

Joanna Sheen Challenge
A5 Side opening
Grandson will be six soon so thought it a good idea to triple emboss a little Indiana Jones pic to go on his card. I was pleased I managed to do text in a circle.
The number 6 is cut from silver mirri type card and the side is tied with a shoelace and this is supposed to look like a lassoo. Inside is another pic of Indy and his bullwhip.
Close up of the 'plaque'

Green for Rainbow Lady's Challenge 38
Hoooray!!
I've missed so many challenges since going on holiday so I am pleased to have joined in with this one.
I chose green for Rainbow Lady's Monotone challenge.
I managed to resist the urge to add another colour, but I enjoyed doing it
Thanks for visiting

Oriental Dreams, Get well and Gran
I was stumped when DIL asked for cards for her Mum's birthday so got out my Joanna Sheen Oriental Dreams CD.
My favourite section is Watercolour Garden and I chose this one.
This next one is for grandson to give to her.
The glam? nurse is for a friend who is to have surgery next week.
Thanks for stopping by

The other 40th
I finished this this morning. I have made three cards for Louise's 40th and of course they all have to be different. I made the first one back in Sept. I'd forgotten when her birthday was and got ahead of myself.
It was the 40 number shape so I am satisfied that I have achieved my goal.
Daughter requested I personalise yesterdays card and will add a hand cut leaf with the birthday girl's name by the FD's near the tassle. Well that is the intention :-/
I used Joanna Sheen's lace paper for the background and the image is one I found googling. Image and sentiment layered on purple patterned paper and silver mirri. Hand cut nunmber, more FD's, pearls and finished with organza ribbon
Thank you for looking

One more 40th card
Yes another one!
8inch square
Inspired by Suzanne's big cards. I now have to make a wrapper for it.
This is for my daughter to give to her friend. I will have to work on one from me later.
I have been deliberating on this card for days. I liked the image but wanted the card to have a modernish? look. Hubby has just said that he doesn't like the pink at the bottom :-( The aqua colour matches Louise's decor so I hope she likes it.
I think I've been quite generous in using FD's and a tassle.
Thanks for looking
