Butterflies and Flowers at Crafty Ann's

*********************************

-~~ we want to see both on your project please
but it can be just one of each
as long as they are the main focal points and not tiny little embellishments ~~~

I have chosen  Cream Dream from the scrapbook collections with the butterfly from here.
I added just a little colour to the butterfly and the bow for a simple finish.

We hope you will be able to play along with us for this lovely challenge - butterflies and flowers are such a great subject. There is plenty of delicious inspiration by the DT to be found over at CACB  if you care to pop in and have a look-see :) and add your own butterflies and flowers creations.

I am away now until 2 June and look forward to seeing your entries when I return.

Thank you for stopping by today :)
Cheers me dears

New Driving Licence

******************
This will probably be my last post for a while - I must concentrate on getting ready to go on holiday early on Friday.

Quick make this morning - congrats for grandson's test pass from his Mum & Dad.
I hope I don't get into trouble with DVLA for mocking up this spoof driving licence.
G/son loved it, he thought it was hilarious.
The pic was taken on his 18th birthday. I have blurred some details for privacy and also I didn't tell him I would put it on my blog.

This was all done in Serif PPx5 and matted on to silver mirri.
Striped backing paper is a freebie again from craft mag
Hand cut tag printed on PC.

Thank you for stopping by today
Cheers me dears :)

Hide & Seek at Crafty Ann's

************************

I am away for a while and will be back 2 June :)

Hide and Seek

~~hide something on your project~~
eg. hidden sentiment or journalling, a tag or bookmark tucked behind something,
a sentiment or picture tucked under a flap etc.

I have used papers from the polished stone collection - the purple with a lace border is from the brights, the green and the pink flowers from the pastels.

I added a some sparkle with glitter glue to the diecut flowers and also to the gold brad in the centres.

My little tag which says 'Happy birthday dear friend' is hidden in the cut off corner.

The sentiment on the nestie label is from Host of Golden Daffodils, covered with micro beads which gives it a sort of holographic look to it and it is popped up with foam pads
The butterfly is embossed with Gwen's Gold EP

Ribbon
Butterfly punch
Lace
Gems
Nestie label
TH tattered floral die

I hope you will be able to join us for our Hide and Seek challenge this fortnight. You can see the super  projects the DT girls have made over at CACB, so do pop over and have a look

I should also like to enter this into the following challenges

I Have Tried!!

************
I am away for a while and will be back 2 June :)

OK - so tarting up a match box may be easy for the arty farty amongst us but oh my!!  this sort of project is so not my forte. . It is good to get out of ones comfort zone now and then - so I'm told, lol..
Now it is finished I'll admit I enjoyed the experience :)

I know you all know what  a match box looks like and this is the naked original :)

I started off covering the box and the ends of the drawer using a page from an old book liberally distressed with Vintage Photo DI.
I glued on an image that I'd printed on tracing paper and a piece of music coloured with same old Vintage Photo and Worn Lipstick and painted over with iridescent medium.

The corrugated heart is covered with my version of faux metal - scrunched kitchen foil wiped over with black paint. I stamped 'memories' down one side and stuck on some lace around the other.
I am proud of the pearls made with Petal Pink liquid pearls - I am getting better at this :)
Due to lack of imagination I just finished it off with a scrunchy ribbon bow and a little crinoline flower.
Also thought it better to quit before I ruined it.

Actually, the more I look at it the more I like it, so that is good :)

Challenge
Frilly & Funkie - alter it!
