Jingle Bells

 *

Weeeheee, my second Christmas card.

I've made this for the CD Sunday challenge when I should have been making a card for a little girl's 6th birthday.
I thought this card would be no problem, once I'd decided on the image and BP. Haha, how wrong was I!
I put the front on upside down.....twice......and then saw I had forgotten to fix the ribbon . Fortunately the base card is sorta pearly and I managed to lift the paper enough to get the ribbon underneath

Both the image and BP is from Joanna Sheen's Victorian Christmas CD.
The little tag says Jingle Bells ( it looks more like 'balls', oooer ) and is stamped with a red pigment ink and heat embossed with clear EP. I dabbed around the edge with gold Papermania  inkpad.

Thank you for stopping by today

Get Well

A quick and simple get well card for an asian gentleman.

This week  Craft Your Days Away challenge #2 is - With wings

Not much to say about this........a rather nice pic of a handsome crane standing amongst some pretty irises, matted on to some plainish paper with a printed sentiment . Base card is silver mirri.
Sorry about the wonky photo, I tried to straighten it but as you can see I failed :-(

Thank you for stopping by and if you have time to leave a comment it will be treasured :-)

Crafty Ann's Challenge #22 - DT card

******************

click the link above to go

Crafty Ann's challenge time again and this is the first challenge on the
new blog  and there is a great sketch to follow.
I like sketches :-)

You can use any theme or colour way and you can turn it, flip it, twist it if you want to as long as we can still recongnise the sketch.

I've used Ann's digi mask for this one and papers from the polished stone collection, one from the brights and one from the pastels. I put the darker paper through my CB with the Swiss Dots embossing folder.
I coloured the mask digitally and then printed an extra copy on to photo paper and 3d'd it. I used gold pentouch around the edges.
Of course it is a rule that every mask has to have loads-a-bling... (OK, so I made that up)....there is glitter around the edge of the mask and lots of 'diamonds' as well as the base card being holographic mirri.

Close up of the bling

I am entering this in ........
Papertake Weekly Challenge   which is a recipe  1,2 3 - one image, two papers, 3 gems
Rainbow Lady's challenge #116 - Sparkle & Shine
Creative Card Crew - Sparkle & Shine

***************
I hope you will pop over to the new blog and see what gorgeousness the DT have come up with.

Of course I hope you will join in this first challenge on Ann's new blog and then I can come and visit to see your take on this

Quick Birthday cards

 ***********

I had to make three quick cards last night for my son-in-law's birthday - today!!
I left it to the last minute cos I am in the crafting doldrums, a complete lack of mojo. I guess it will pass and just hope it will be soon.

Colour Create Challenge  #51 is - Ivory, duck egg blue and one other colour -  card three :-)
Cute Card Thursday # 125 is - Tree-mendous! - card one.
Daring Cardmakers is - is also Tree-mendous! - card one.
Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge #35 is - Anything goes

This first card to be from the g/children is made entirely from the free papers in the current Making Cards mag. Just a topper and computer generated greeting matted on to holographic silver mirri card.

The second one from me and hubs. Same as the first one with papers from the May edition of MC mag. Brown grosgrain ribbon from stash.

Third one for DD. BP's are from the Sprout collection from Shabby Shoppe. I cut the CB'd swirl in half and placed the Nellie frame and sentiment over the gap :-) I put a strip of plasterboard tape over the LH panel.

Actually they don't look too bad considering they were made in such a rush.

Thank you for stopping by today

Crafty Ann's Challenge #21 - DT card

***************

The challenge at Crafty Ann's this fortnight is

I have to tell you that I have never made a Chistmas card earlier than the beginning of December.....but.....hey! this is a  challenge after all, lol, and once I got 'psyched up'  I really enjoyed making this.  Might even do another in the next 3 months, lol.

I chose one of Ann's pretty Christmas Bauble digi's, coloured with copics. The centre's and tops have been embossed with detail gold EP and then I added 3D clear gloss over the green. for a lovely shine. These were been shaped before fixing with the usual blob of silicone and look nicely dimensional.

Bauble images - Crafty Ann's digi shop
BP - free from Making Cards mag
MS border punch
Nestie scalloped oval cut from gold mirri card
Gold thread, ribbon, peel off  from stash

I do hope you will be able to join us for Challenge #21 and I look forward to seeing your
Christmas in August cards.

Please do pop over to Crafty Ann's Challenge Blog and see the lovely festive cards the rest of the lovely DT have come up with.

.................. is moving to a new home and here is a message from Ann to tell you all about it

 ***********
Hello to all of you who love a challenge!
For a number of resaons I've decided that it's time for
Crafty Ann's Challenge Blog to move home - and
this is it!

The first challenge on this blog will be on Friday 27th August and in the meantime, I'm hoping you'll help me to spread the word.

How about the opportunity to win some digis??????? This is all you need to do:

  1. Become a follower to be included in the followers draw
  2. Post about our move on your blog and add our challenge blinkie to your side bar then come and add your link on Inlinkz to be included in the Inlinkz draw
I'll draw 1 winner from the followers and 1 from Inlinkz this Saturday the 14th then I'll do the same thing on Friday the 20th and finally the day the first challenge goes live on here, Friday the 27th. That's 6 prizes on offer and as an added incentive to get in early, it means more opportunities to win if you do!

Each winner will receive 3 digis of their choice.

Our regular challenge will still happen on the Wordpress blog this Friday, the 13th so don't forget to join us there and don't forget to come back here on Saturday to see if you're one of the first two winners. :D

Crafty Ann's Challenge #20 - DT card

Time again for a new Crafty Ann Challenge -   and the challenge this time is

Lazy Hazy Days of Summer
Anything that to you says summer.

The image on my card is a photo I took of one of the roses in my garden and means Summer to me.
When these are in full bloom I know that summer is really here, whatever the weather, lol.

I have framed it in one of Ann's digi frames which I printed on to some Polished Stone digi paper. I coloured the bow with a pink copic to match the digi rose. I added an extra layer to the rose bud and leaves so it is nicely dimensional although it doesn't show in the pic.

The main BP is Mottled Stone.
I have not decided on a sentiment  yet,  though I will probably send it to a friend who loves her garden is quite poorly at the moment.

I made a tulle bow and layered it over the coloured bow and have added a small rose to the centre.

Frame - Ann's digi
BP's - Polished Stone and Mottled Stone - all available at Ann's Digi Shop
Image - personal photo
Tulle and rose from stash

I hope you will be able join us for the challenge at  Crafty Ann's this time and show us your idea of
Lazy, Hazy Days of Summer.
If you pop over to the challenge blog you can see the wonderful ideas the DT have come up with this time.

I didn't use a challenge sketch for this card but would like to enter it into these two 'Anything Goes' challenges

Thank you for stopping by :-) Your comments are always appreciated, many thanks :-)

Thank You Teacher

A request from our 7yr old grandson for his teacher. He is moving up to junior school in September....oh my, how time flies.

The easel is one of the images from Crafty Ann's new set - In the Artist's Studio. I printed it on to Woodgrain Effect paper, one of the earth tones collection
The apple is one of Ann's too and is coloured with copics.
I made the BP by printing some numbers and alphabet on to some neutral coloured Polished Stone paper

I fixed the back leg of the easel directly to the card but the rest of the easel is raised with foam tape.
I also cut around the top part of the easel to hold the 'canvas' in place.

An apple for the teacher is just right for the
Simon Says challenge this week which is 'Let's get Fruity'

Thank you for stopping by and all your lovely comments are greatly appreciated

Crafty Ann's Challenge #19 - DT card

It is time for a new challenge over at Crafty Ann's Challenge Blog.
This challenge, suggested by Kym, is to use a

Cliff Richard Song
 as inspiration.

My choice is "Congratulations" for my daughter and son-in-law's wedding anniversary.

Papers - polished stone and mottled stone in neutral colours. Papers can be found in Ann's digi shop.
I randomly stamped a Penny Black  flowery heart on the  main BP on the front of the card and embossed with Enchanted Gold EP.
The image was originally coloured, but I changed it to a sepia shade to match the BP's
You can just see the 'sparkle' and the pink gems added for a bit of interest.
The image is edged with pentouch gold pen and fixed with foam tape.

Finished off with some of my lovely vintage seam binding ribbon and a 20mm flower.
Do pop over to Crafty Ann's Challenge Blog and see what great cards the design team have made
I hope you will have a go at the challenge this fortnight and look forward to seeing your interpretations.

70th Birthday

For hubby

I had a look around for a sketch to use and found this was just what I wanted at

Inspirational Card Sketches  challenge # 72

7inch Easel card

It is a wonder I finished this today. I had nothing but interruptions from hubby this morning. He was replacing the outside tap and I was up and down a dozen or more times turning the water on and off. - and 'could I fetch this and fetch that'. Then he kept hovering.... looking at what I was doing - on purpose I'm sure, just to wind me up....grrr...I had to suggest he sat out in the garden.
Only got 3 more to make, unless I throttle him first. :-)

BP's - Summer Driggs - Fathers and Fedoras
Nellie frame
4 silver brads

Thank you for stopping by :-)
